“We Democrats are a Happy, Caring and Sharing People.” ~ Mary Lily Nuckolls

Mary Lily Nuckolls knows Democrats and local people well – it’s the caring and sharing that make us happy. We see a community with possibilities even and especially in hard times. We can and do take care of ourselves and we understand that we have to take care of each other. We understand that some big things like education and healthcare are bigger jobs than one individual can take care of.
We have Democrats deserving of your support and election or re-election:

• The Democrat Brenda R. Sutherland, Elk Creek, serving as Chair of our Board of Supervisors is unopposed.

• The Democrat Gesche Morley, Educator, Wilson District, standing for Board of Supervisors against an opponent who spent his career in the healthcare industry and is still a Republican.

• The Democrat Lt. Governor Ralph Northam is standing for Governor against an opponent who has never held public office, only political advisory positions and who has his own lobbying firm.

* The Democrat Justin Fairfax is standing for lieutenant governor against an opponent who has never held public office and who was a counselor in the Florida Presidential Recount, acting on behalf of the Bush-Cheney campaign in West Palm Beach and in Osceola County.

*The Democrat Mark Herring is standing for Attorney General against an opponent who, again, has never held public office, and has worked only as a political appointee.

Fries Landcare Rocks the River”
Sunday, July 30 from 1 – 6 p.m.

There will be live bands, food and beer trucks, farmer’s market vendors and all kinds of great things going on.

“National Night Out” in Independence, VA

Tuesday evening, August 1, from 6 – 8 p.m.
We are hoping to make people more aware of the good things we Dems are doing.  We will offer voter registration, information on our local candidates and a sign-up for new people who wish to join our local group.
So, we need two things.  We need more of our Dems to join us for these events and give us a hand at the tables.

Please either call Joyce Roberts at 655-4822 or respond to graydemocrats9@gmail.com if you can help out at either/both of these fun community happenings.
The other thing we can use is school supplies.  If you are cleaning out your office and have extra folders, pencils, etc. that can be used in the classroom, please consider donating them to us.  We will have a box from which teachers can select needed/wanted items.

Together, we can change things!!!
